British Esports Launches PUBG Mobile College Tournament

Introduction to the PUBG Mobile College Tournament

British Esports, the national body for esports in the UK, has teamed up with PUBG Mobile Esports, the competitive circuit for the popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile. This collaboration will bring forth a new esports tournament specifically aimed at UK-based students aged 16 and over.

Key Details of the Tournament

The PUBG Mobile FE College Tournament 2024 is set to begin on October 8th and will run until the week commencing November 12th. Up to 16 teams will compete, with the top team earning the chance to play on-stage at the 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship. This championship event will be held from December 6th to December 8th at London’s ExCel Auditorium.

Format and Structure

Teams will compete across 12 maps over four weeks. The team leading the leaderboard at the end of this period will also get the opportunity to participate in a showmatch alongside various content creators and influencers.

Previous Collaborations

This is not the first time British Esports has worked with Level Infinite, the developer behind PUBG Mobile. Earlier in February 2024, both parties partnered to highlight career opportunities within the esports industry.

Growth of PUBG Mobile Esports

The PUBG Mobile esports scene has seen significant growth in 2024. In September, PUBG Mobile Esports partnered with Guild Esports, a UK-based esports organization. This partnership resulted in Guild Esports fielding a roster in four tournaments occurring in late 2024 and early 2025.

Statements from British Esports

Tom Dore, Vice President of British Esports, expressed excitement about the new tournament: “We’re thrilled to offer a first-of-its-kind mobile esports tournament for further education colleges and to continue building our relationship with industry leaders Tencent. We look forward to discovering which winning team of students will compete on the biggest stage at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship in London at the end of the year.”

Conclusion

The partnership between British Esports and PUBG Mobile Esports marks a significant step towards promoting mobile esports in educational institutions. This tournament not only offers competitive opportunities for students but also strengthens the collaboration between key players in the esports industry.
