Dota 2 The International 2024: Schedule, Prize Pool, Results, and Updates

The International 2024: Dota 2’s Premier Event

Dota 2’s The International 2024 (TI 2024) is the pinnacle of competitive Dota. Held in Denmark, the world’s top 16 teams competed over two weeks to become the 14th team to lift the Aegis of Champions. This year’s event saw a mix of seasoned champions and dark horse contenders fighting for glory and a massive crowdfunded prize pool.

Format and Teams

Group Stage and Seeding Deciders

The tournament began with a group stage where teams were divided into four groups of four. Each group played a best-of-two round-robin format. All teams advanced to the next stage, but their performance in the group stage determined their seeding for the main event.

In the Seeding Deciders, the top team from each group selected an opponent from another group, and they played best-of-three matches to decide which teams would start in the upper bracket of the main event.

Main Event

The main event featured a double-elimination bracket with all matches being best-of-three except for the grand final, which was a best-of-five. The top eight teams from the group stage and seeding deciders progressed to this main bracket.
