The Energy Crisis quest in Escape from Tarkov is one of the more challenging tasks in the game. Players need to locate and mark three fuel trucks on the Lighthouse map, which is known for its complexity and danger. To take on this quest, you must be at least Level 25 in the game.
Objectives of the Energy Crisis Quest
To complete the Energy Crisis quest, you need to accomplish four main objectives:
- Locate and mark a group of fuel tanks with an MS2000 Marker at the Lighthouse.
- Find and mark the first tanker truck with an MS2000 Marker at Lighthouse.
- Locate and mark the second tanker truck with an MS2000 Marker at Lighthouse.
- Find and mark the third tanker truck with an MS2000 Marker at the Lighthouse.
Exploring the Lighthouse Map
The First Tanker Truck
The first fuel truck is located near tanks labeled “ОГНЕОПАСНО.” Ensure you mark the truck before moving on to the next objective.
The Second Tanker Truck
The second truck is located next to Building “3” inside the Water Treatment Plant. Be cautious, as machine gunners guard this area.
The Third Tanker Truck
The third truck is parked at the intersection near the southeast entrance of the Water Treatment Plant. This area can be heavily guarded, so proceed with caution.
Completing the Quest
Once all the trucks are marked, head to the extraction point to complete the quest. Make sure to bring enough MS2000 Markers with you; you will need four in total. If you run out, you can purchase more from Prapor or Ragman. It’s also advisable to keep the markers in special slots or your pouch to avoid losing them upon death.

Successfully completing the quest will earn you the following rewards:
- 13,000 EXP
- Mechanic Rep +0.02
- 75,000 Roubles (78,750 with Intelligence center Level One, 86,250 with Intelligence center Level Two)
- Unlocks barter for FN SCAR-L 5.56×45 assault rifle (variant Contract Wars) at Mechanic loyalty level three
- Unlocks purchase of Tromix Monster Claw 12ga muzzle brake at Mechanic loyalty level three
